This firefighter academy started on June 14, 2021 and their training was completed on July 23, 2021

All eight of the recruits are graduates of Fresno City College Fire Academy and two were Student Interns with North Central Fire Protection District.

My name is Travis Jensen, I've lived in the Central Valley my whole life and currently live in Kerman with my wife and 2 kids. I started my career as a EMT and volunteer firefighter where I worked my way up to a full-time career firefighter position. My hobbies include, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, riding motorcycles and playing guitar.

My name is Aaron Pleschner.  I am 25 years old and was raised in the Bay Area. I grew up playing sports my whole life which drove me to join the fire service, to continue to be in a team atmosphere. I moved to Fresno after meeting my fiance at San Jose State, where we now live with our 2 dogs. I look forward to serving the North Central community. 

My name is Justin Newquist. I was born and raised in Clovis. After graduating from Buchanan in 2014, I pursued a sports administration degree from Fresno State. During this time I was a strength coach that trained athletes. I’m engaged to my beautiful Fiancé Shannon and we plan on getting married in 2023. I love my career as a Firefighter. The people that you work with in this Job make it amazing. Also, I’m passionate about engine company ops, building construction, and fitness.
